No options for MAC users?
The problem is.. None of the developers has a Mac.   If I could find an emulation program that was reasonably cheep, I would consider it. There are windows emulators  you can get for the mac that are free. You could download a windows emulator for your mac and then you would be able to run our software on your mac.

No options for MAC users?
Just was wondering if you could set up the software for updated and current MAC users? Windows won’t work for us and I would love to participate in your program.Thank you for your time, BigChuck.

Any Michigan Hunters Here?
Nice deer Lenny even though it was not the one you were looking for;  I passed on a few bucks waiting for the big one that I’ve been hunting for the last two seasons. I finally got the big one to come to an estrus bleat but he didn’t see a doe and would not take another step.  He was about 30 yards in heavy brush, so the next 50 minutes we played sweat, neither one of us made a move; he finally decided that either he was hearing things or the doe he heard went towards the food plot.  So he went towards the food plot and did show himself at about 70 yards (too far for my bow) and he was really big (about 170s B&C).  Maybe next year if he doesn’t die of old age!

Southern Maryland Hunting
Jim, please give my congratulations to Emily!  Very nice buck!  I’m always glad to see the young ones get into the sport.  My granddaughter got her first deer this season as well.  After she made the shot she said "Granddaddy, I’m shivering but I’m not cold"; I told her that we all shiver like that occasionally!

how long to hang deer
I wouldn’t be too worried about it. truth is it’s much worse to leave it hanging in hot weather. Ideal temperatures would be around 45 Degrees Farenheight. It’s not good to keep it hanging in temperatures below freezing however your only talking about a couple of days.

how long to hang deer
I was wondering if it would harm the meat too much to let it hang in below freezing weather. My husband shot a doe today and the weather will be in the teens at night and low 30’s during the day. We dont have anywhere inside to hang it. Will probably be a couple of days before it gets cut up.

ggonzalez@austincollege.edu : well this is my third year with this program and i used to be a gold memeber sadly i dont have $20 to throw right now. does the free membership let you actualy use the program? i just need moon phases and the calculator
Evil2U : Yes the program is self is free, you just don't get to use all the features like the calculator or the map program. but it does have moon phases on it. :)

FREEDOM : Hey Guys, I just recieved my gold membership key and the deer days calendar says I need to be connected to the internet to activate. I'm connected and the program still won't take my membership key. Did anyone else have this problem?
Ron King :
Evil2U : email info@deerdays.com they are pretty good about fixing problems.
tom peacock : Yes I do not even know where u enter th key
DeerDaysDevTeam : Tom, You have activated your account, so you know where they key goes. For those of you who don't know. You must put your key in the actual software. DO NOT BUY A MEMBERSHIP IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE SOFTWARE!. If you need to software you click the words at the very top left of the website that says "DOWNLOAD FREE HUNTING LOGGER NOW!"

awendawman : Does the calendar have any high/low times for activity on it? How do you get it? Most solunar calendars for hunting help you maximize your effort by giving you the best times each day as well as how good a day it is. Where is this info on Deer Days?
Evil2U : hit the calculate times button. :P
Evil2U : it show's today to be Ma which means Mid Afternoon.
awendawman : Thanks, I thought that was what it meant and I finally found a tutorial but I wasn't sure earlier and if there were times associated with it. I appreciate your help, where do you hunt? I am in SC, close to Chas on the coast. Our hunting has been very slow due to a very unusually high acorn crop and hot weather. We haven't even hit the 30's yet. Mosquitoes are real bad.

Brent : yeah its always a good idea to switch stands especially if you shot out of it. I only use my bow when i'm hunting my buck stand.

jerryc478 : tomorrow is the first day of rifle, the game is on, no bow tomorrow just three hundred yards of knock down power!
blood : trew dat

22ike@live.com : Monday morning i rattled in main frame 8 pt left side busted up a good friend rattled in a 130 class Sunday morning i it will work right now in west kentucky
Brent : my brother killed a 230lbs 10pt 3 year old buck in Arkansas . needless to say he was very happy :)

MasterDragon : Me and my dad went hunting last weekend and saw a buck and shot at it. but my black powder missed it. that sucks. I think i hit the leg. Dad shot and hit his butt made it jump lol.. I went hunting with my grandpa and cousin and we didn't get anything but this weekend I hope to see my big buck again.

danielstecker : i have a lot of pictures of rubs and scrapes but it's been very crapy hunting for deer in mass.
jerryc478 : its just gettn good in oklahoma, the rut is on
tu3712 : Where abouts in OK are you seeing Rut activity jerryc478?
MasterDragon : there is alot of deer here in Nebraska. the hunters are almost paying us to rid them of their deer problem.
jerryc478 : in south central

jerryc478 : I HATE FULL MOONS AND HOT WEATHER
kf4vlg : why full moons
jerryc478 : cause the good bucks do their thing at night and all u get to c is the leftovers the next morning
willangell1105 : there was a ful moon monday and i saw a 9 pointer with a about 7 inch drop tine
jerryc478 : your doin alot better than me,i saw a good 150 class and went back to hunt him and he's already left the doe he was with, guess thats the way it goes, but luckily the rut is really crankin up

Tumbleweed : Moove my ladder stand 50 yards closer to a scrape on Saturday then watched a 10 point walk by the old location on Sunday
jekrenek : ain't that the way it always is!!!

HUNTER101 : Hunting this weekend sucked for me because the deer were to far away to get a good shot
Brent : well at least you go to go hunting :P The wife had to work and I had to watch the kids :P
Joehahn : Move closer
Brent : yeah that would help :)
blood : i now i am so tieared:)
dannymyers65 : take the kids hunting, brent, and they may get the deer for you.

jessekempner : debateing about going out sat morn. low 49 high 73.......Coldest morning yet. still decieding. last few morning's there was nothing until after 1000. evening show best luck N results. but coldest morning........
LcHuntn : it was colder than that last weekend and the high was about 52, it was also pretty rainy bug I saw deer anyway. It was on a green day i saw about 10 deer.
RADAR1872003 : AM GOING HUNTING IN MORNING LOWS 20 TO 30

rick69gto :

28MARS : At hone waiting for the snow to stop
Brent : Wating for weekend to come again :P

Evil2U : Is in the deerstand
Evil2U : had a good time this past weekend i saw 7 doe and 1 buck.
buckwheat_mi : I went three times this past weekend and saw six different bucks and 10 doe in two different hunting locations.
LcHuntn : I shot at one last week and missed. I guess i didn't have my bow sited in as good as i though i did. or either that too much excitement for the first hunt of the seaons for me :)
buckwheat_mi : At least it was a clean miss though. I let one pass last weekend and another guy shot it a couple days later and couldn't find it.
Brent : Yeah that will make hyou sick :P. I like it when they drop righ where they stand but it dont always happend that way.

jpdel11 : Checking this site for future possible future used
DeerDaysDevTeam : as a community or what?
LcHuntn : I like the software you can download.

Ronnie Jeans : Bow Hunting is a fun way to hunting. I lost my first bow deer last year, good hit but in a thicket with pine straw all on the pine thicket. Ya'll wish me luck and I'll post the pick next week. Keep the FAITH.
Evil2U : Good Luck this year man. I always hate to hear it when someone loose a Deer.
coldbeer : I tracked a deer for over 500 yards one time before I found the deer. sometimes it just takes persistance. good luck!
jerryc478 : i shoot the rage broadhead, two or three blade their both awesome, i've shot about six deer with them and the farthest one has made it is 60 yards, need to try em

DeerSniper : This is my first time to hunt with a bow. Any pointers?
gluyet : Practice, practice, and Practice!
coldbeer : it depends on if your talking about a crossbow, compound or recurve.
gluyet : I'd recommend practice no matter what kind of arhery equipment you have. However, do as I say and not as I do!
buckwheat_mi : I am just wondering what everyone does to maintain their bows. Any input would be great.
coldbeer : Buckwheat. I maintain my own bow (square bow, change string, tie loops, peep sites, rests, quiver, put on sites) and make my own arrows (cut to length, fletch, nock). I am basically my own bow shop :) except I have to buy parts from the real bow shops :)
Evil2U : I think the best bow trick i have ever seen is the "Red Neck" bow press. What you do is get you a trailer rachet tie down and put it the holes of your pullie's and then 4 clicks later your changing your bow string. Pretty cool.
ldrbowhunter : i do all my own work. i learned it 20 years ago working for a local archery shop.

Brent : I'm going to miss the opening of bow season :(. Its not all that bad though becaues i'm going on a cruise with my wife. We've been together for 10 years so I think I probably owe it to her :)
Evil2U : That's cool man. My Wife and I have been together for a little while too, I'll just take her bow hunting for our 10th year!
Brent : LOL. Thats pretty sweet! We have never been on a cruse before so we are pretty excited aobut it.
