The weather has started to change with some needed rain and is getting much cooler now. I’m planning on planting food plots this weekend and that’s the last of the word days; Bow season starts here on Oct 1st and I’ll be in a tree on that day! As always, it’s good to hear from you and the other hunters again! Post us some deer pictures! Have a happy and safe season! | THE BUCK STOPS HERE! |

I’m always glad to see the young ones get into the sport. My granddaughter got her first deer this season as well. After she made the shot she said "Granddaddy, I’m shivering but I’m not cold"; I told her that we all shiver like that occasionally! | THE BUCK STOPS HERE! |

We get some real nice bucks from time to time in our area but the pressure is on em. If I see a nice buck and I like the way the horns look and I need meat in the freezer I will take em.... Sorry you didn’t get the big one this past year, but we have a fresh season ahead of us.... Be safe and let me know how your doing’ Jim

Re:Southern Maryland Hunting 05/18/2009 2:15 PM | | Well Jim, I didn’t get the big one this past season; if he doesn’t die of old age I’m going to try some new strategies this next year; my last years strategies sure didn’t work! I did get back my last buck from the taxidermy and it looks real nice. This deer is about a 130 B&C and I should have let him walk, but he had such a nice tall and symmetric rack I just couldn’t help myself! | THE BUCK STOPS HERE! |
