I have used the "old spitfire’s"(the ones with the blunt tip) and they flew straight, but these xp pros open up, fly straight, and are improved with a cut on contact tip. I like that there are no rubberbands as well to keep them locked! I have shot a buck and a doe this year already with them, needless to say, they didnt go far! ---In case you were wondering on the bow n arrow... -2007 Hoyt Powertec, 70lbs draw -Gold tip prohunter arrow with quickspin xt veins |

They’ve always done the job, but last year decided to try something new. I purchased some Grim Reaper RazorTip 100gr broadheads. They shoot just like field points. However, I didn’t get a shot at anything (I’m very picky and don’t shoot young bucks). Over the summer, I found another broadhead that I am very excited about. It’s made by Aftershock Archery and it’s the Manic. It’s a 100gr fixed blade broadhead. It’s also a cut-on-contact broadhead for all you folks that have to use fixed blades. I just got them in last week. After shooting them in several different arrow types and brands (aluminum and carbon), I believe I have found MY new number one broadhead. They fly so true! I don’t think I’ve shot a better fixed blade broadhead in the 30 years I’ve been shooting a bow. No planeing at all! Be careful shooting targets with these dudes! You be playing Robin Hood and bust a bunch of arrows! Be safe and good hunting!

Have performed admirably for me in the past so don’t see any reason to change. |
