auto fill of weather
It is now September 2016. Has there been any advancement in resolving the autofill option for the weather? This is actually a very nice feature when it worked.

some tips about hunting turkey.....
Turkey hunting in the fall is quite different from hunting turkeys in the spring. For one thing, it is not breeding season so turkey calls are not of as much use. In the fall, turkeys separate into groups of hens and poults or groups of gobblers. If you see one hen, you are not likely to see a gobbler in the entire flock. Turkeys tend to stay down in the open fields eating bugs until a hard freeze. They will then migrate up into the hardwood forests for beech nuts, acorns, etc. You can determine when this has happened by locating turkey scratchings in the leaves. If you know where they are roosting and where they are feeding, you can position yourself between the two areas. If you walk in too close to their roost, they will hear you and avoid you when they fly down.  Hunting is allowed all day long within designated hunting hours. Again, turkeys harvested must be checked-in at a checking station. How often do you update these "database definitions"?

When we feel like we have enough data to improve our predictions. We are hoping to get a huge amount of info so we can finish our DeerDays Time Calculator.

Ok.. So let me get this straight, You guys have created a program that you can give to deer hunters so they can log data, and then  you take there data from the "Deer Data Form" somehow, and collectively compile there data and create predictions from that?  Because thats geinus.

That’s basically the idea.

The "About DeerDays" explains it pretty good. It reads as follows:

The Deer Days Calculator predicts whitetail deer (odocoileus virginianus) movement (or lack of movement) on a given day to the point in which you would most likely see or not see deer on that given day, during the daylight hours. The Deer Days Calculator proprietary formula is based on an Evidence Based Resource Database (EBRD) that has been collected and developed over the last 30 years. The Deer Days calculator, at this time, is not the “be all, end all” of the deer movement predictors, but simply a work-in-progress tool intended to be used for the betterment of the hunter, and will continue to improve over time with the expansion of the Deer Days’ EBRD.

So basically the more data we have the better we can predict.  What we do at DeerDays is harvest the "Deer Data Form" information from the DeerDays software, extract any odd or extremely high or low data, and update our database definitions.
By expanding our database (the more people we have gathering information, the more accurate our perdiction formulas become) we improve our algorithms.

As for the best times of the day to hunt, we are working on a DeerDays Time Calculator.  We need a lot more information to finish the algorithms.  There are some time predictions out there but most are based on either moon or fishing data.  I have found these to have limited accuracy.  All of our predictions are based on a large database trends for normal criteria (excluding other limiting factors such as hunting pressure, weather, preditors, etc.).

By the way, judging by your photos, looks like you have some good bucks in the making!
