auto fill of weather
It is now September 2016. Has there been any advancement in resolving the autofill option for the weather? This is actually a very nice feature when it worked.

some tips about hunting turkey.....
Turkey hunting in the fall is quite different from hunting turkeys in the spring. For one thing, it is not breeding season so turkey calls are not of as much use. In the fall, turkeys separate into groups of hens and poults or groups of gobblers. If you see one hen, you are not likely to see a gobbler in the entire flock. Turkeys tend to stay down in the open fields eating bugs until a hard freeze. They will then migrate up into the hardwood forests for beech nuts, acorns, etc. You can determine when this has happened by locating turkey scratchings in the leaves. If you know where they are roosting and where they are feeding, you can position yourself between the two areas. If you walk in too close to their roost, they will hear you and avoid you when they fly down.  Hunting is allowed all day long within designated hunting hours. Again, turkeys harvested must be checked-in at a checking station. Buckeye Cameras are the best. I have 1 Orion with PC Base, 1 wireless Apollo, and one Standalone Apollo. Cost a lot but when set up you don’t go near the camera for a long time. I also have a spare battery fully charged so when the battery gets below 30 percent I change it. I have all three cameras set up, one transmits about a quater mile to my computer, the other about a half mile. I can tell which trails the deer are using. The stand alone Apollo I change the card about every 3 days, I had 206 pictures on the card set at one second so I changed it to 5 min. I live on an Island in Maine, they took over 100 deer the last season, but this winter has been hard on the deer.

Respectfully

Jack

I would like to see those pics. looks like a good camera. do you know how far the signal will go if you use the wireless thing? their website says 2 miles but I find that people that use things like that know more of what they can acutally do.

They can have my bow when they pry it from my cold dead fingers!

hello, i noticed these posts were from early 07, but wanted to let every one know about the "buck eye cam" wireless camera. this can be a  stand alone camera with sd  chip or used as a wireless and transfer pics to a portable base unit or straight to computer. these ARE NOT CHEAP THOUGH!!! but in my opinion worth it. i have caught an owl in flight 2 times now. they have a recharble battery that will last a long time (i get about 1 month) with lots of extras. here is web page if any one wants to ceck them out.(www.buckeyecam.com/main/) let me know what you think. if any one wants to see some pics let me know and i will upload some.

I bought one from Dicks for about 75.00 it works pretty good. only .3 megapixel though. it takes nice pictures. they sell them all the time on e-bay. under sporting goods, hunting cameras. one guy sell’s some for 2 at one price. look good though. do research. good luck. by a lock also.

I love hunting! New Deer Days is Great!

Well the megapixels is more about image quality. The reason that I quoted the second one as the best has little to do with image quality. It’s more about camera quality (not breaking down in bad conditions stuff like that) and ease of use for the hunter.  Your 100% correct on the the expensive part though (too much for me).

To answer Caustin’s question I have got a cousin that has a cuddleback. He doesn’t like his at all. Now he’s got an old version and isn’t digital but his comments were enough to keep me away from buying it.

Thanks I think the first would be just fine! Any one have a Cuddie??

There are alot of them out there.. if you can find a durable digital with about 3 megapixals that would be ideal.
