auto fill of weather
It is now September 2016. Has there been any advancement in resolving the autofill option for the weather? This is actually a very nice feature when it worked.

some tips about hunting turkey.....
Turkey hunting in the fall is quite different from hunting turkeys in the spring. For one thing, it is not breeding season so turkey calls are not of as much use. In the fall, turkeys separate into groups of hens and poults or groups of gobblers. If you see one hen, you are not likely to see a gobbler in the entire flock. Turkeys tend to stay down in the open fields eating bugs until a hard freeze. They will then migrate up into the hardwood forests for beech nuts, acorns, etc. You can determine when this has happened by locating turkey scratchings in the leaves. If you know where they are roosting and where they are feeding, you can position yourself between the two areas. If you walk in too close to their roost, they will hear you and avoid you when they fly down.  Hunting is allowed all day long within designated hunting hours. Again, turkeys harvested must be checked-in at a checking station. You can get a Man Kung crossbow from the website here:
link

It is totally camo and costs only $199.99 plus free shipping. The estimated speed is 300 FPS. You can see a performance video on that page too.

Is this a mechanical self-cocker your speaking of or the mechanism that holds the string in the cocked posistion (when I cock a crossbow I use both my hands and pull the string in place)?

I’m not sure how you get that stastic, but there’s no way you are able to shoot that speed with 150lbs limbs. I know that this is the poundage MK is using because they are buying limbs from another supplier in Taiwan.

What model are you using anyway? Did you add another 10" barrel the the bow?

MK is cheap and good to use, just look out for the cocker, it’s not very durable. I have several customer complaining about this.

Thanks for the information!  Please let me know what you end up with for your final selection on the arrow and broadhead combination.  If you find that the bow does not shoot consistent please let me know; other wise I’m going to get one and try it.

About what price range should I expect to pay for one of these crossbows?
Its on ebay and it is $205.00 everyday and shipping is $29.00.  I didn’t see much variation.  Im still working on the right combonation with shaft size and braodhead wieght.  I do honoestly believe that the 20" 2219 is going to be my best bet for the most outstand performance.

My biggest concern is: does the crossbow shoot consistently (no variation caused by the crossbow)?

I’m in the market for a new crossbow and I have a Horton Hunter Supreme now.  The only thing I have against the Horton is the dail up yardage on the side; I prefer that the sight mechanism does not move, and I’m looking for one that will shoot in the 320-345 FPS range.  What is the feet per second speed on the Man Kung?
If I reamember right, it shoots at about 312 with 2219’s, 17" long.  I talked to the manu. and they told me that I would gain better speed using a carbon arrow.  I have archery hunted many years, and even my compound is set low.  I like a slower arrow because it is way more forgiving then the fast ones.  I have never had a deer squat or jump one of my arrows.  If I get it crono’ed, I’ll be sure to let you know.

I have just purchused a off brand crossbow and would like to say that I have saved a lot of money.  The Man Kung crossbow is awesome. It has all the looks of a brand name crossbow, but the price is outstanding. I bought it on ebay. I bought the totally camo crossbow and with some minor assembly it was ready to hunt with.  It came with everything but a carring case.  Please let me know if any of you have seen this, or own one and let me know what you think?  BamaHunter.
