auto fill of weather
It is now September 2016. Has there been any advancement in resolving the autofill option for the weather? This is actually a very nice feature when it worked.

some tips about hunting turkey.....
Turkey hunting in the fall is quite different from hunting turkeys in the spring. For one thing, it is not breeding season so turkey calls are not of as much use. In the fall, turkeys separate into groups of hens and poults or groups of gobblers. If you see one hen, you are not likely to see a gobbler in the entire flock. Turkeys tend to stay down in the open fields eating bugs until a hard freeze. They will then migrate up into the hardwood forests for beech nuts, acorns, etc. You can determine when this has happened by locating turkey scratchings in the leaves. If you know where they are roosting and where they are feeding, you can position yourself between the two areas. If you walk in too close to their roost, they will hear you and avoid you when they fly down.  Hunting is allowed all day long within designated hunting hours. Again, turkeys harvested must be checked-in at a checking station. Buckwheat, my guess is that your local Game & Fish Commission banned the baiting of deer because of the nature in which CWD is spread.  The bait will concentrate the deer which helps spread CWD; and by the bait being usually placed on the ground will allow the deer to pick up soil along with the bait, which can further help spread the disease since CWD is a soil bound disease.

Buck3791, Predator1 and Coldbeer gave some good answers to you baiting questions on another DeerDays forum; just keep in mind the possibility of spreading CWD by concentrating the deer.  Hopefully you don’t have CWD in your state yet.  Happy Hunting to all!

Yeah, it is CWD and I know it affects the brain of deer, similar to mad cow disease.  If the disease was found in a wild animal than I would be happy for the ban, but it wasn’t.  I guess they are just being cautious because the disease kills every animal that is contaminated.

Is this CWD your talking about?
