auto fill of weather
It is now September 2016. Has there been any advancement in resolving the autofill option for the weather? This is actually a very nice feature when it worked.

some tips about hunting turkey.....
Turkey hunting in the fall is quite different from hunting turkeys in the spring. For one thing, it is not breeding season so turkey calls are not of as much use. In the fall, turkeys separate into groups of hens and poults or groups of gobblers. If you see one hen, you are not likely to see a gobbler in the entire flock. Turkeys tend to stay down in the open fields eating bugs until a hard freeze. They will then migrate up into the hardwood forests for beech nuts, acorns, etc. You can determine when this has happened by locating turkey scratchings in the leaves. If you know where they are roosting and where they are feeding, you can position yourself between the two areas. If you walk in too close to their roost, they will hear you and avoid you when they fly down.  Hunting is allowed all day long within designated hunting hours. Again, turkeys harvested must be checked-in at a checking station. Is hunting during a pressure drop an ideal time to go for deer? Is it better when it is rising or falling? What if it keep fluctuating? +/-

It has been generally noted that deer do move when the barometer is moving, but they seem to move more when the barometer is rising (as apposed to falling) and when the barometer is steady high (as apposed to steady low).  We continue to monitor this data but the results we have are inconclusive; we need more data.

I would be very happy to see the buck I am after. (even if I don’t get to take a shot)

anyway. Happy hunting.

I asked the same question to one of my buddies and he said that it was better to be hunting while it is changeing. He said that it didnt matter wheater it was going down or going up as long as it was changeing it was good. I have done some field testing on this matter and it looks like to me hes right. I have found that I am more likely to see deer when its changeing.

I am not an expert on this matter and have only done small amounts of testing on this subject. I guess what I am saying is "You get what you pay for". Razz Free advice.

Went out this morning after watching the humidity and air pressure last night. It went from 100.30 @ 9:30pm (falling) to 100.11 @ 10:00am (rising). The humidity went from 62 to 76 in the same time period.

I saw one coyote and the buck i have been after. He came in heading into the wind and got to @ 50yrd of my treestand but there were big fallen trees that hid most of his body, very nice rack. He jumped one tree behind him and then just walked away slowly no problem, i could not make a good shot with my excalibur, with the wind and the tree hazard i didn,t shoot. Maybe next week, or this sunday!
