auto fill of weather
It is now September 2016. Has there been any advancement in resolving the autofill option for the weather? This is actually a very nice feature when it worked.

some tips about hunting turkey.....
Turkey hunting in the fall is quite different from hunting turkeys in the spring. For one thing, it is not breeding season so turkey calls are not of as much use. In the fall, turkeys separate into groups of hens and poults or groups of gobblers. If you see one hen, you are not likely to see a gobbler in the entire flock. Turkeys tend to stay down in the open fields eating bugs until a hard freeze. They will then migrate up into the hardwood forests for beech nuts, acorns, etc. You can determine when this has happened by locating turkey scratchings in the leaves. If you know where they are roosting and where they are feeding, you can position yourself between the two areas. If you walk in too close to their roost, they will hear you and avoid you when they fly down.  Hunting is allowed all day long within designated hunting hours. Again, turkeys harvested must be checked-in at a checking station. I went hunting yesterday with a 10-20mph wind.  I agree, that I don’t think the deer are near as active on windy days.  I was on top of a well used deer trail for evenings, and saw nothing.  I don’t think I could have "scared a deer up" yesterday.  -Pleasant Hope, MO.

Yesterday the wind was between 5-10 mph in Central AR and there were 4 deer seen feeding yesterday at 3:41 PM.  My experience has been that 10 mph is about the breaking point and the greater the wind over 10 mph the less deer I see.  The only exception has been during the rut when I was using some very good deer estrus; and the wind actually was a big help in these cases.

When I am bow hunting and have a wind that is greater than 15 mph and cannot find a spot out of the wind  I just go inside for two reasons. The first reason is that my arrow is affected too much by the wind. The second reason is that the deer don’t seem to get up and walk around when there is that much wind. Don’t get me wrong I have seen deer in windy situations but it’s normally because they got jumped up by a dog or something.

How hard a wind will you bow hunters (crossbow hunters too) go out in (30 km/hr) to hunt deer. Do you set yourself with a cut-off when it comes to this. I know guys who won’t hunt areas if the wind is coming from a certain direction. Any tips for strong wind hunting??

It’s always amazing to me how much the wind or the rain has on the accuracy of the arrow.  I will hunt windy days and have taken bucks on windy days with a bow, but I always try to hunt an area with target to see the drift so I know how much to allow for wind drift. the least amount of wind.  In the mountains you can usually find a valley or niche that is out of the main wind, much harder to do on the flat lands.  But if I’m hunting the flats on a windy day, I will normally shoot a target to see the drift so I know how much to allow for wind drift.
