Man Kung Crossbows
Is this a mechanical self-cocker your speaking of or the mechanism that holds the string in the cocked posistion (when I cock a crossbow I use both my hands and pull the string in place)?

I’m not sure how you get that stastic, but there’s no way you are able to shoot that speed with 150lbs limbs. I know that this is the poundage MK is using because they are buying limbs from another supplier in Taiwan. What model are you using anyway? Did you add another 10" barrel the the bow?MK is cheap and good to use, just look out for the cocker, it’s not very durable. I have several customer complaining about this. Post Edited by: deerheart

Well Jim, I didn’t get the big one this past season; if he doesn’t die of old age I’m going to try some new strategies this next year; my last years strategies sure didn’t work!  I did get back my last buck from the taxidermy and it looks real nice.  This deer is about a 130 B&C and I should have let him walk, but he had such a nice tall and symmetric rack I just couldn’t help myself!

Buckeye Cameras are the best. I have 1 Orion with PC Base, 1 wireless Apollo, and one Standalone Apollo. Cost a lot but when set up you don’t go near the camera for a long time. I also have a spare battery fully charged so when the battery gets below 30 percent I change it. I have all three cameras set up, one transmits about a quater mile to my computer, the other about a half mile. I can tell which trails the deer are using. The stand alone Apollo I change the card about every 3 days, I had 206 pictures on the card set at one second so I changed it to 5 min. I live on an Island in Maine, they took over 100 deer the last season, but this winter has been hard on the deer.RespectfullyJack.

George, I wish you luck out there and get that big one!!!!!  of course now that season is over, we have seen some deer running around.  I saw one small buck.  We finally got some cold weather, little bit of snow so I guess it got them moving but it was a little to late.We will hit em hard again next year Lord willing.Let me know how your season ends.Jim

Our bow season is still open and it goes through the end of February.  The big bucks where I hunt still have their antlers but they are really hard to hunt!  I passed on one 10 pointer that has been under my stand both last year and this year (he doesn’t know my lock on stand is there, it is hid so well it is hard for me to find) and I hope to take him next year; he should be in the 5.5+ year old class and be a record book trophy.  I hope I don’t regret the pass, it was sure hard to let him walk!  I have one old buck that I’m still trying to get before he drops his horns. Other than a management deer or two, we didn’t take anything worth mentioning.  Jim, like your weather, ours has been wet and windy, especially windy this season.  But like always, it was still fun!  Best regards to all!George
